Martin Wiklund is a 20-year-old professional photographer and digital artist based in Gothenburg, Sweden.

He first picked up a camera the summer in Eskilstuna three years ago and began shooting with film. Six months later he bought his first digital SLR camera and a a bit later his first studio equiment. He began experimenting with lighting setups and soon found out how to lift his photos to a whole new level. He started shooting some friends' bands and found out that he really enjoyed it.

He had already been working with Photoshop for years, creating many forms of digital art, so when he discovered digital photography the post processing was there from the beginning. He began trying to develop his style with influences from Dave Hill, Joey Lawrence and similar photographers. He also became a big fan of photographer and digital artist Dimitri Daniloff and also fashion photographer Yanick Dèry who both widened his visions even further.

In 2008 Martin's photos began to spread over the internet due to his shoot with the popular band Saving Joshua. Now he realized that band photography was becoming something he wanted to do for a living. He got in touch with a lot of bands and also some record labels for which he shot promo material for album releases and such.

In January 2009 Martin moved to Gothenburg and is now working as a full time photographer and web designer, shooting mainly band promos but also fashion/beauty when he gets the chance. With his photographic style and knowledge about post processing he has become one of the more popular young photographers in Sweden and is constantly working his way up.
